What a change.
Today I picked my son up from music camp and ran into an old friend from high school. It has been about 20 years since I last saw her and I was really surprised. At first I didn’t recognize her because she looks nothing like she did in high school. She is clearly a living example of one of those weight loss success stories we all like to hear about. She has lost at least one hundred pounds since high school and looks fabulous. You can look in her eyes and see the happiness that is there today that was missing so long ago. I know from personal experience how hard loosing weight can be and just wanted to jump up and down for her success. I wasn’t sure whether or not to say something about how she looked since I don’t really know her anymore and it has been so long since we last spoke. I simple said she looked wonderful and left it at that for now. If we should have a longer conversation I may let her know how amazing I think her accomplishment is.
