Preparing for the future.
The last couple of weeks have given us many reasons to rethink the status of various aspects of our lives. My husband was in a serious car accident on the way home from work. In the weeks since the accident we have focused our attention on getting our lives in order and preparing for the future. One thing that my husband wants to do it secure a different job in the coming years. He has a couple of areas that he thinks would be a good fit for him. I am encouraging him to move forward with his goals and start taking GMAT prep courses. He has been out of school for quite a while and I have no doubt that he needs to brush up on his math skills. There was a time when I wouldn’t have been behind the idea of him changing professions but I see things differently now. The idea that things in life can change so quickly has left me feeling that we need a more secure financial future. If updating his skills is what is needed to make that happen I am all for it. I especially like the idea that he can take these classes from home and that they are affordable. This is the perfect solution for our family at this point in life. Online learning is a wonderful opportunity for busy people like my husband who want a comprehensive program that utilizes the wonderful technology available to today’s distance learning students.
